According to the Schengen border rules, the maximum stay in the Schengen area is 90 days within any 180-day period. This means that you cannot exceed a total of 90 days of stay within six months. If you stay for 10 days in one visit, you can make up to 9 trips within six months without a visa. It is also possible to stay for a maximum of 90 days in one visit, but in that case, entry and stay in Schengen member countries will not be allowed for the next 3 months (90 days), so please be aware of this. If you plan to stay long-term or frequently visit the Schengen area, you will not be eligible for visa exemption, so please consider applying for a visa from the main countries individually.

From November 2023, ETIAS will be introduced, so those who wish to travel to Schengen member countries after its introduction need to apply for ETIAS in advance. ETIAS application is mandatory for minors, including infants, so please remember to apply for ETIAS for all family members if you are a guardian. (Those under 18 and those over 70 are expected to be exempt from the application fee.)
