Thoughts on Taking the ACT

    • Compared to the SAT, I didn’t feel confident while solving the questions.
      • Well, maybe it’s because it was my first time?
    • Causes of mistakes
    • Result: 56/75
      • I didn’t feel a strong bias towards the types of questions I got wrong.
  • Math
    • It was harder than the SAT and had more questions.
    • If I had approached it with the mindset of the SAT, I would have been in trouble because I was running out of time.
    • I didn’t know things like converting feet to yards.
    • Matrices came up, but I didn’t know about them.

        • Well, it might be worth studying since it doesn’t seem too difficult. (blu3mo)
    • Vectors came up, but I didn’t know about them.
    • Result: 52/60
      • My brain wasn’t fully functioning after pulling an all-nighter two days ago.
      • I noticed some issues, like not being able to do mental calculations for 7x7.
  • Reading
    • Result: 23/40
      • I couldn’t solve a whole big question at the end.
      • Despite having more questions than the SAT, I didn’t find it easier.
      • I didn’t feel a strong bias towards the types of questions I got wrong.
  • Science
    • Result: 38/40
      • It seems like I can aim for a perfect score if I concentrate.
      • It’s like SAT Math.
  • Overall
    • (25+31+22+33)/4=28
    • Equivalent to SAT scores

  • Impressions
    • It’s much lower than my first SAT score, and I didn’t feel like I was better at the ACT than the SAT.
      • Maybe I can just skip the ACT.
