Here are some websites and tweets that I found interesting regarding research and writing papers:

- This research improved the accuracy of the conventional method by a certain percentage. This is very useful for applications and other studies in this series of research.
- This research extended the conventional method in this way, which expanded the possibilities for such applications. At the same time, it also expanded the applicability of other studies that used the conventional method.
- This research proposed a completely new method. It is useful not only in the previously assumed environment but also as an alternative method that can be used in such situations. This research applied this method to other fields as well.
- This research is an attempt to connect both fields and is the first step towards using methods from each field.
- This research defined a new problem. The results were not successful, but at least through this attempt, insights were gained that can help improve this aspect of other studies.
- Patterns like these contribute to the research community by standing on the shoulders of giants.

- People who are good at persevering, sincerely facing the phenomena in front of them, and enjoy writing are likely to succeed as researchers.

- A paper is a summary of research. It’s like excrement. It’s counterproductive to work hard just for the sake of writing a paper. It’s enough to just do what needs to be done.

#the Century of Magic
- Will computers do both problem setting and problem solving in the future?
- Do we even need the format of papers?
- Are the functions of academic societies unnecessary?

- I used to think that airborne hover interactions were only interesting in the medical field. I was foolish. The diversity of research itself guarantees its usefulness in times of need, rather than judging based on the value at the time. Evaluating research based on “Is it interesting?” rather than “Is it useful?” leads to higher accuracy.

#expanding the Brain
- “Searchlight-type research” and “bucket-type research”
- The conventional searchlight-type measures only limited parts of the brain to verify hypotheses.
- The bucket-type measures everything for the sake of understanding and finds what can be learned through data analysis.
- The study of the Social Brain requires the bucket-type approach.

The unpredictable future is interesting.
-
It’s okay as long as you find your unique strengths.
-
Know your strengths, know your user manual.
- Understand the environment in which you can perform well.
-
Trial and error is necessary.- Fear of failure prevents progress.
-
-
If you think “It might be a waste” or “I will only take the shortest path,” you won’t make progress.

(blu3mo) Three types of research:
- Finding abstractions from existing concrete examples.
- (The value of abstraction is that it can be seen as concrete from one level higher.)
- An example in HCI is creating the concept of “tangible.”
- Finding new concrete examples that have not yet been abstracted.
- Think of archaeology, for example.
- Finding concrete examples of already discovered abstractions.
- An example in HCI is creating something new based on the concept of “tangible.”
