- In this article, we introduce CAUSALITY, a conceptual model that provides a clear understanding of temporal interactions. The model consists of several components, including the work artifact (such as the text and formatting of a Word document), the system context (such as user interface settings and parameters), the linear timeline (the sequence of commands executed in real time), and the branching chronology (a structure that shows the executed commands and their impact on the artifact and/or context, which can be navigated by the user).
