Embodiment Theory
- What is the difference?
- I don’t have a clear understanding because I haven’t studied it systematically.
In conclusion of the Embodiment Theory:
[Sense of Agency]: The ability to recognize actions performed by robots or avatars as one’s own. [Bodily Ownership]: The ability to feel the body of robots or avatars as one’s own.
- Both are related to sensory perception and subjectivity.
- Ultimately, it is a matter of believability.
It seems that the verbs and nouns related to the Self correspond to the Sense of Agency and Bodily Ownership, respectively.
