SchoolTakt Trial

• Things I found useful after trying it out:

  • It’s nice that teachers have pre-made teaching materials that can be used, it would be great to use them in kineto too.
  • There are features like voting and timers, it seems like the main focus is on synchronous/real-time experiences during classes.
    • It’s great to be able to see a real-time list, something you can’t do in Google Classroom.
      • I think they mentioned something about WebSocket.
  • Google Classroom, even with Jamboard and Slides, gives the impression that “files” are the units of information.
    • In contrast, SchoolTakt’s campus gives a more tangible impression.
    • I didn’t feel the file-like nature, I wonder why?
      • Maybe because the experience of being able to see a real-time list of campuses on the screen is something that is not possible with “files.”
  • I thought it must be quite convenient for teachers, reaching the areas that itch, so to speak.

• Things that caught my attention:

  • I found it inconvenient that the arrow keys couldn’t be used.
    • For moving things around or scrolling through slides.
  • I got the impression that functions are placed haphazardly.
    • I wonder why?

    • Maybe because different targets (objects?) of operations are mixed together?
      • Left side
        • The title is the name of “this campus.”
        • The code display button is for “classes.”
          • I thought it was for the campus code, but it was for the class.
      • Buttons on the right side
        • The leftmost block is for “this campus.”
        • The middle block is for “all students’ campuses.”
          • Is this only visible to teachers?
        • The right block is for “SchoolTakt itself”?
    • 
      • Would it be clearer if the block above was placed elsewhere?
        • Since only “all students’ assignments” are the target here.
  • 
    • I thought maybe it would be better if the fonts for UI and user-generated content were different.
      • 188.9 looks like a part of the slide and is confusing.

    • It bothers me that the default name in the template exceeds the character limit…? #pKineto?
