• I played the trumpet about twice a week from elementary school to junior high school.
• I started thinking about the benefits of humans playing musical instruments (rather than using synthesizers, etc.).
• It’s a common story, but…
• The sound itself is influenced by the human condition, especially when using breath.
• The strength of the “brand” of traditional instruments.
• The sound produced varies depending on the individual.
• For the performer, there is a sense of enjoyment in growing and improving, similar to a game.
• If the pleasure of producing sound is related to enjoyment, is it essentially the same as a rhythm game?
• Technique versus expression without worrying too much.
• Things that can be done with musical instruments or synthesizers that cannot be done with audio playback.
• Dynamics, contrast, rhythm.
• Improvisation.
