Why am I discussing VR in this Plurality meeting?

In the typical reality or VR setting, multiple people in the same space usually see the same world.
- However, it is possible for multiple people in the same VR space to experience slightly different realities.

For instance, consider a scenario where multiple people are collaborating in a VR environment.
- There are building blocks and monitors in the room.
- The top image represents the original reality.
- However, individuals in red, blue, and green see customized realities with slight variations.
- This customization allows for experiencing different realities while collaborating in a shared space in VR.

However, individual customization of reality can lead to communication discrepancies due to the “misalignment” of realities.
- Issues like one person seeing objects that the other cannot or objects being in different positions when pointed at can arise.

To address this, two approaches can be taken:
- For example, if an object is pointed at appears differently to the other person, the pointing finger’s position can be displayed differently to them.
- When someone talks about a specific object, ensure that the object appears in the same position for everyone.

This aims to implement both personalized optimization of subjective reality and the absorption of discrepancies caused by individual optimizations.
- By achieving this, a different type of VR space can be created, diverging from the traditional paradigm of everyone experiencing the exact same reality.

When we see “Internet of Things,” let’s make it an Internet of Beings. When we see “Virtual Reality,” let’s make it a Shared Reality. When we see “Machine Learning,” let’s make it Collaborative Learning. When we see “User Experience,” let’s make it about Human Experience. When we hear “the Singularity is Near,” let us remember: the Plurality is here.

Things I felt were missing in the discussion:
- Discussion on network dynamics when considering discrepancies among three or more individuals
- Positioning the flow of history as discussed in LT of Name Tekkai - Smooth Sharing of Virtual Space-Time
- Creating artificial discrepancies in a certain area to enable the sharing of what truly needs to be shared
