Estimated Scores for G12IBMock and IB Exam Nov 2021 (Target Scores)
-
The aim is to calculate how many points are needed to reach a 7, assuming the IA score is xx.
-
Goal: Understand which subjects have room for improvement.
-
- Concerns about whether the bar has been raised due to the decrease in the number of tests and their difficulty.
- This can be understood by looking at the 2021M.
-
First, let’s find the grade boundaries for 20N and 21M.

Calculation of N21
- Thoughts:
- Comparing M21 and N20, there doesn’t seem to be a big difference.
- I feel like N20 might be higher.
- Well, let’s be pessimistic and take the higher score between M21 and N20 as the expected value.
- Then, make adjustments based on knowledge.
- I think Math AA is lower because it’s the first time, so let’s add +2.
- In the end, errors will occur in the IA, so a margin of ±10 doesn’t really matter.
- Then, make adjustments based on knowledge.

Predicted scores I can achieve
-
Thoughts based on scores
- English and Japanese might be surprisingly the most challenging.
- Honestly, I thought I had quite a lot of room for improvement.
- Especially for English B, the content itself is easy, but getting a 7 is not.
- Chemistry and History are the next challenging subjects.
- Math and Physics seem manageable.
- Spending too much time on these subjects may have been a mistake. I wish I had known this at the beginning of summer vacation…
- English and Japanese might be surprisingly the most challenging.
- Bonus Score
- Well, maybe 0-1 point…
- TOK: B, EE: C/D, perhaps?
- I should really work hard on my EE (though it’s a bit late) (20210822)
