i.e. Persona
-
I’m struggling with how much to connect my online persona and my real-life persona.
-
Upon further thought, they seem quite different, both within and outside of school.
-
Twitter, the school community, and the outside world are loosely connected.
-
A: Twitter persona
- @blu3mo
- Platforms: Twitter, Github, AtCoder, Discord, etc.
- I want to tweet casually, so I talk to some extent about the characteristics of persona C, which tend to hinder that.
-
B: Real-life persona (within school)
- Real name
- Platforms: School, Line group, Instagram, private Twitter account, etc.
- Even if it may seem cool, it’s not that exciting, so B isolates themselves to some extent from the characteristics of persona C.
-
C: Real-life persona (outside of school)
- Real name
- Platforms: Facebook, etc.
-
Listing people who are involved with multiple personas:
- Parents: C, somewhat B, not connected to A by conscience
- I don’t know if my parents really know my Twitter account, but it’s not a problem as long as I believe “my parents don’t look at my Twitter.”
- I don’t write anything that I wouldn’t want them to see, but it becomes difficult when I feel their presence.
- The reverse of ”There is No Need for Others to Exist”
- Classmates: B, somewhat C
- Some are also aware of A (I know three people).
- Teachers: B
- The teachers with whom I have a close relationship are also aware of C.
- Untrodden path: A and C
- Parents: C, somewhat B, not connected to A by conscience
-
Hypothesis: This natural state has been formed to avoid the disadvantages caused by Impostor Syndrome.
- Due to Impostor Syndrome, I believe that my past achievements are overrated, but if I hide them, I will have difficulties in situations where I need to make an impression.
- Therefore, in general, A and B, where I spend most of my time, hide those aspects and only show the external mode of C to resolve this (?).
- I’m not sure if this is good (in fact, it doesn’t seem good), but for now, it’s good enough that I can recognize this.
