- The test is scored out of 800 points, similar to the reasoning test.
- Note: There is no test in March.
- Admission usually requires or recommends two subjects.
- Differences from the SAT reasoning test:
- There are 5 choices instead of 4.
- Incorrect answers are penalized with a 1/4 point deduction.
- There is a tight time pressure.
- It is not necessary to answer all questions correctly to get a perfect score of 800.
- Math:
- All multiple-choice questions.
- Basic level 2.
- Covers up to level 11, unlike the reasoning test which covers up to 10.
- The current GDC can be used.
- Physics:
- More time pressure than math.
- Not many difficult calculations, more conceptual.
- Similar to an advanced version of IB Paper 1.
- No GDC allowed.
-
- Even if you make 10 mistakes, you can still get an 800.
- Chemistry:
- Requires some memorization.
- Maybe I should take Physics instead.
