I feel that there has been a significant decrease in language difficulties in my studies over the past year (blu3mo)
- (This is mainly written with humanities subjects in mind)
- Reading
- In the first semester (before ChatGPT), it was quite difficult to read all the texts that we were told to read in advance, and it was hard to catch up.
- I don’t think the professors expected us to read everything thoroughly in advance, but rather to quickly grasp the content by skimming through it.
- However, skimming through texts is difficult in a second language (blu3mo)(blu3mo)
- In the second semester (after ChatGPT), there were similar classes.
- By passing the texts to ChatGPT and generating summaries using the “summarize contents by bullet points” feature, it became possible to achieve the equivalent of “skimming through” the texts.
- Writing
- If I write my thoughts in rough English, ChatGPT can correct it into proper and academic English.
- It has become much easier to solve non-essential language difficulties with technology (blu3mo)
-
With this, I feel that I can manage humanities classes as well (blu3mo)
