before: First Attempt at TOEFL
-
5/15 Sat
-
I only had three days to prepare, oh no
-
I hope studying for the SAT a week ago Taking the SAT for the Second Time will help me, but I wonder how effective it actually is
- The patterns seem quite different
- Maybe I need to make an effort to abandon my thorough evidence-based thinking
- The patterns seem quite different
-
In the end
- Reading 27, Listening 30, Speaking X, Writing X
- R/L sections, dropped by one point.. haha
- Speaking/Writing doesn’t seem better than last time either
- Well, I just have to wait for the results while hoping for a score in the upper range of random fluctuations
-
I should be able to improve in Speaking and Writing a bit more
-
Results
- 105
- I didn’t feel much progress, so I’m happy that I improved
- Reading and Listening are probably within the margin of error
- Speaking +2, didn’t improve much after all
- If I practice properly with PDCA, maybe I can improve a bit more
- I could only do practice to the extent that I could remember the format this time
- Writing +5
- It improved quite a bit, maybe because I was conscious of what I wrote in TOEFL Writing
